Code | Description | Possible Cause | Action from Repair Manual
U0128-00 | U0128-00 Lost communication with parking brake control module | | Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the power and ground connections to the module. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the CAN network between the Parking Brake Module and Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) | Parking brake working, so comms error which is voltage related and “normal” for a car of this age. |
U0159-00 | Lost Communication With Parking Assist Control Module “A” – No sub type information | CAN Link Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) /parking aid module missing message | Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the power and ground connections to the module. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the CAN network between the Parking Aid Module (PAM) and Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC | Parking assist working, so comms error which is voltage related and “normal” for a car of this age. |
U0242-00 | Lost Communication With Headlamp Control Module “B” – No sub type information | | Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the power and ground connections to the module. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the CAN network between the Headlamp Control Module and Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) | Part of interior mirror so probably linked to issue with rain sensor. Module replaced with a 2nd hand unit. Now working but still giving errors because it was not replaced by a brand new module that could be coded into the car. |
B1D17-96 | Battery Backed Sounder – Component internal failure | Component internal failure | The BBUS is installed in the engine compartment on the RH (right-hand) side of the bulk head. Depending on the CJB configuration, the BBUS can be used to produce the audio acknowledgment for arming and disarming of the active anti-theft system as well as the audio warning after an alarm has been triggered. The BBUS is normally operated by a permanent battery feed from the central junction box (CJB). An integral 7.2 V rechargeable battery powers the BBUS if it is disconnected from the vehicle battery. The BBUS sounds when it receives an alarm or acknowledgment signal from the CJB . While the active anti-theft system is armed, the BBUS also monitors the battery power supply and the arm/disarm signal line from the CJB , and operates the sounder if the battery power supply or the arm/disarm signal line is disconnected. The CJB arms and disarms the BBUS together with the rest of the active anti-theft system. Clear the DTC and retest, if the problem persists renew battery backed sounder | Acknowledgement sounds being heard. Perhaps the internal battery is dead? replace? |
B1OAD-87 | Rain Sensor – Missing message | Missing message – LIN slave node is not responding | Check the operation of the rain/light sensor. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the LIN circuit between the rain/light sensor and the central junction box. Should also check LIN control unit and rain/light sensor power and ground circuits | Probably broken – replace? Module replaced with a 2nd hand unit. Now working but still giving errors because it was not replaced by a brand new module that could be coded into the car. |
U200E-11 | Control module output power B | Control Module Output Power B – Circuit short to ground | Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the circuit, repair as necessary | Sounds like headlamp control module b above. Module replaced with a 2nd hand unit. Now working but still giving errors because it was not replaced by a brand new module that could be coded into the car. |
B12BE-31 | Left Front Camera – No signal | Front left proximity camera circuit fault Front left proximity camera faulty | NOTE: When checking LVDS circuits, DO NOT probe the LVDS cables. Visual checks ONLY should be performed at the cable inter-connect points Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the front left proximity camera circuit for open circuit | Seems to be working so spurious code |
B12C0-31 | Left Mirror Camera – No signal | Left mirror proximity camera circuit fault Left mirror proximity camera faulty | NOTE: When checking LVDS circuits, DO NOT probe the LVDS cables. Visual checks ONLY should be performed at the cable inter-connect points Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the left mirror proximity camera circuit for open circuit | Seems to be working so spurious code |
B1A98-87 | Local interconnection network bus circuit 1
B1A02-13 | Speaker #2 – Circuit open | Wiring harness fault Speaker fault Audio amplifier internal fault | Refer to electrical circuit diagrams, check left front bass speaker circuits for open circuit. Check speaker for short circuit, open circuit. If no harness or speaker fault suspect audio amplifier module. Refer to the Warranty Policy and Procedures manual if a module/component is suspect | Seems to be working so spurious code |
B1A01-13 | Speaker #1 – Circuit open | Wiring harness fault Speaker fault Audio amplifier internal fault | Refer to electrical circuit diagrams, check left front tweeter speaker circuits for open circuit. Check speaker for short circuit, open circuit. If no harness or speaker fault suspect audio amplifier module. Refer to the Warranty Policy and Procedures manual if a module/component is suspect | Seems to be working so spurious code |
B1A08-13 | Speaker #8 – Circuit open | Wiring harness fault Speaker fault Audio amplifier internal fault | Refer to electrical circuit diagrams, check right rear bass speaker circuits for open circuit. Check speaker for short circuit, open circuit. If no harness or speaker fault suspect audio amplifier module. Refer to the Warranty Policy and Procedures manual if a module/component is suspect | Seems to be working so spurious code |
U3000-13 | Control Module – Circuit open | Universal serial bus (USB) harness between portable audio interface panel and user interface panel is not properly connected Connection – detect circuit between portable audio interface panel and user interface panel is not grounded Universal serial bus (USB) harness between portable audio interface panel and user interface panel is open circuit | Check for correct connection of universal serial bus (USB) harness between portable audio interface panel and user interface panel.
